spacetime + light
Hi, I am Yunni Cho. I am currently based in Lausanne, Switzerland, pursuing a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and working for the Laboratory of Integrated Performance in Design (LIPID). I pursued a B.F.A. in Interior Architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), a B.A. in urban studies, and a B.A. in cognitive neuroscience at Brown University through the Brown RISD Dual Degree Program (BRDD). Through my unique educational combination and wide-ranging interests, I explore the intersection between space, time, and light. I design a variety of different spaces through my experience in architecture, but, at the same time, I examine its historical context and investigate spatial perception and memory through my degrees in urban studies and cognitive neuroscience. In this process, art becomes both a medium and a language for me to fully express and freely communicate my ideas and passions. This website is a collection of my projects that show my interpretation of how space connects to time and combines with light.
